Au fost anunțate nominalizările pentru Gala Oscar 2023. După cum era de așteptat, ”The Fabelmans” este filmu cu cele mai mari șanse de a lua cele mai importante trofee: regie și cel mai bun film. Interesant este faptul că regizorul James Cameron al ”Avatar”, filmul care a întrunit recordul de vânzări, nu se regăsește pe lista de nominalizați la cel mai bun regizor. Pentru cel mai bun film internațional se află în cursă producții din Germania, Argentina, Belgia, Coreea de Sud și Irlanda. La nominalizații pentru categoriile de actori găsim nume celebre: Cate Blanchett, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Colin Farrel, Jamie Lee Curtis, Brendan Fraser. Pentru premiul de cel mai bun film se află în luptă 10 producții, din diferite genuri : dramă, acțiune, comedie, SF, film biografic. Premiile Academiei Americane de Film vor fi acordate pe 12 martie, într-o ceremonie care va avea loc la Dolby Theatre din Los Angeles. Iată nominalizații:
