Au fost anunțate nominalizările pentru Gala Premiilor Oscar 2022. Cea de-a 94-a ceremonie de decernare a premiilor Oscar se va ţine la Teatrul Dolby din Los Angeles, pe 27 martie. Evenimentul va avea o gazdă, pentru prima oară din 2018, dar numele celui sau celei care va prezenta show-ul nu a fost anunţat încă. Lupta pentru celebra statuetă va fi una destul de puternică, un western modern, un remake al unui musical celebru și o dramă despre viața în Irlanda de Nord a anilor 60 au primit cele mai multe nominalizări: ”The Power Of the Dog”- 12;  ”Dune”- 10; ”Belfast”- 10; West Side Story-7. Printre nominalizații la premiul de cel mai bun film se află și candidatul la categoria cel mai bun film internațional ”Drive My Car”. Nu lipsesc din lista de nominalizați: Benedict Cumberbatch – The Power of the Dog; Kristin Steward – ”Spencer”; Will Smith – King Richard; Judi Dench – Belfast.
